If there is a Collegiate game to watch this weekend it has got be the Clemson Tigers vs Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Clemson is the Darling team of the ACC and Notre Dame is looking to overtake them as the Champs, at least for this year. Notre Dame is 9-0 and undefeated, Clemson is 8-1 with their only loss to, you guessed it, Notre Dame. Full Disclosure, the Clemson Tigers were without their starting quarterback Trevor Lawrence (COVID19). Even though Lawrence did not play in that game the Tigers were able to hang with the Fighting Irish, that game was decided after double overtime.
Irish won that game 47-40. Let us not take anything away from DJ Uiagalelei, he played great as he threw for over 400 yards for the Tigers. As we get closer to the football playoff, my belief is that whomever loses this game will be out of the football playoffs. I am pretty sure if the Tigers win they will get in, we would also hope the same for the Fighting Irish. Get the snacks ready as this going to be a good one.
This is a big big game for both teams, but a huge game for the ACC, with Notre Dame playing the newcomer to the neighborhood, if Notre Dame wins this game as a guest in the ACC, Notre Dame would have tremendous bragging rights. Not only would they have waltzed into the ACC and played respectfully but they would have beat the top dawgs twice. Sounds like a great story that will be revealed on today!!! It’s going to be good!!!
